I received my B.S. from the University of Michigan, where I investigated the mechanisms of endocrine regulated developmental plasticity in the vertebrate brain. My doctoral research in Liqun Luo’s laboratory at Stanford University focused on the molecular mechanisms of developmental and injury-induced axon pruning in Drosophila. My postdoctoral work in the Anderson lab seeks to understand how aggression, an innate social behavior, is encoded in the Drosophila brain at the level of specific neural circuits.
