Shuo Cao
Graduate Student
Shuo grew up in Shanghai, China and attended college at Peking University in Beijing. As an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Chenjian Li's lab, he studied the role of O-GlcNAcylation, a protein post-transcriptional modification, in Drosophila neural development. Shuo is a graduate student in the Biology option. His project is focused on identifying neural circuits underlying complex social behavior, using the fruit fly wing threat display as a paradigm.
Shuo enjoys a variety of activities during his spare time. His current favorite pastime is playing badminton and indulging in gourmet hunting on weekends with my friends. He also in the process of learning to surf at the beautiful beaches of southern California.
