Yuexuan Li
Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in Biology and Biological Engineering
Yuexuan earned her Bachelor's degree from Peking University and completed her PhD with distinction in Neuroscience at Yale University. As an undergraduate, she developed genetically encoded fluorescent sensors for neurotransmitters. Her doctoral research focused on the neural mechanisms underlying infant social behaviors in mouse models, identifying specific neurons that integrate maternal contact and modulate a range of behavioral and physiological responses in infants. As a postdoctoral researcher, she is investigating the neural computations that drive innate behaviors and emotional states. Outside the lab, Yuexuan enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and cooking.
